Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Today, we took a trip to the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. We got to learn about many different programs offered through the ISA and even had a guest lecturer teach us about supply chain in the fashion industry of Italy. We learned a lot about business models and also sustainability in supply chains. Specifically, I enjoyed the topic of creating more “circular” supply chains to improve sustainability because the concept is extremely relevant in many of my business courses, such as Operations Management.

We were lucky enough to have lunch with Italian students at the University, and they took us on a tour of the campus, as well. We got to walk through a classroom which was interesting because it looked much different than what we are used to in America. The weather was so nice today, so we spent time walking around, taking in some sights.

Next, we toured the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci. We learned a lot about other countries’ histories and how they tied into Italian culture. The exhibits were impressive and I enjoyed listening to the stories that the tour guide shared about each.
