Giorno Cinque

Today we left from Milan to drive to Florence. The drive took about four hours. It was a very long trip but the beautiful scenery made up for it. Seeing the countryside of Italy and the mountains made the drive much better.

When we arrived in Florence and checked into our hotel. The room is very nice and big. After checking in we went to the Palazzo Vecchio. This is an art museum with paintings from the renaissance. One of the famous paintings it has is the “Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botticelli. It was astounding to see a painting that famous in person. We were guided by a very knowledgable tour guide through the museum.

Next, we went to dinner and we were served pasta and veal, both were very delicious. We then walked around Florence a little more. It is a beautiful city but much more crowded than I expected. Our ISA tour guide told us that there are a lot of other Americans here touring just like us. It is obviously a very sought after location for vacation.

Overall, it was a good day.IMG_1145.jpg
