My top five strengths are as follows:
These strengths are relevant to Plus3 for numerous reasons. The futuristic aspect means that I am inspired by the future and what could be. I inspire others with my visions of the future. I definitely find myself looking forward to what is coming up the next day or the next week. I’ve found myself a bit stressed or overwhelmed when we don’t have a structured itinerary or a set lesson (like what happened during the Google site visit). As for relator, the theme means I enjoy close relationships with others and I find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal. This strength was clearly displayed as I worked to talk with my classmates, teachers and the locals in order to establish a connection. We especially had to work hard to establish a relationship with the companies. This process began when Brad and Liz contacted the company and requested to schedule a site visit. From here, they had to maintain a positive relationship so that our class could meet with them and ask about their business strategies and overall operations. Lastly, I’d really like to focus on my strength as a Learner. A learner has a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them. This is crucial to this journey because I’m ecstatic to learn more about the culture, the city, the people and anything else there is to absorb.
Side note: I would just like to mention that I met up with my friend Hannah today in the evening for dinner. We spent awhile walking around the area, comparing our experiences, and sampling the local gelato (which was AMAZING). Hannah is in Pitt Band with me and she’s in Dublin for about 18 days for the Comparative Justice program through CAPA. It was really awesome to talk with someone from back home about an entirely different experience in the same city!!
