Adventure at Cliffs of Moher!

If you ever want to spend a peaceful time, I highly recommend visiting the Cliffs of Moher. It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been in my life. The weather was a key factor because the clear skies and sun created a magical place that not many visitors have seen in their previous visits. The Cliffs of Moher are in the opposite side of Dublin, so we took a bus with a guided tour to reach our destination. After the Cliffs, we went to a gorgeous city called Galway next to the seashore and had lunch and homemade Irish ice cream with the group. There was a lot of people walking in the streets of Galway because Ed Sheeran is having a concert there later in the evening, and there are a lot of restaurants, shops, live music and ice cream shops.

From a professional view of point, the Cliffs of Moher are an essential component of the tourism industry in Ireland. Its location is strategic for the local tourism companies because visitors who are staying in Dublin tend to take a bus tour to get to the other side of the country to visit the Cliffs. This natural park also helps the hotel industry because visitors can stay overnight and enjoy the night life in cities close to the Cliffs such as Galway. In summary, many foreigners visit Ireland because one of their activities is to visit the Cliffs of Moher. At the site, there is a visitor centre with informational flyers about the Cliffs of Moher in different languages, which shows that welcomes people from around the world and is a way to let foreigners know about the history and culture of Ireland. The gift shop sells a wide variety of products for all ages and souvenirs related to the Cliffs and Ireland. Outside the visitor centre, there are a couple of stores from people outside of the company that manages the Cliffs. I visited one of them, and the prices were more expensive than the visitor centre’s gift shop. Therefore, it is more convenient in terms of price for visitors to buy souvenirs at the visitor centre. Also, the Cliffs are advertised as Ireland’s most visited natural attraction because besides the Cliffs, you can visit a tower, exhibition areas, restaurants and most importantly wildlife. There are different species of animals and plants that live near the Cliffs and some of those like dolphins, falcons, goats, and cows were mentioned in our tour. I only saw cows and birds, it was impressive to see them at the Cliffs. Finally, the tourism industry has a good use of social media and technology to promote the Cliffs of Moher, and let visitors know about how they are protecting and conserving the Cliffs of Moher for future generations.
