It’s a sad day here in Dublin as our trip is coming to a close. This experience has been the absolute best time of my life. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have been able to travel to this beautiful country and meet the smartest, funniest, and the most incredible group of people. The people I have met on this trip have inspired me. If there came a time three years into the future where we could all meet up and do this all over again, I would never miss that opportunity. Sure Ireland would be different and we would all be at different points in our lives, but I believe this time together these past two weeks has forged a bond that will remain in our hearts forever.
If we were back in the future, I would imagine Dublin to be an even more bustling and lively city. There is still so much growth going on in Ireland right now that I cannot imagine it stopping anytime soon. I picture that even the smaller towns we visited will start becoming more and more populated. The country would probably become even more diverse as more and more companies and people keep immigrating to live here. One thing I can never see changing, especially not within the next three years, would be the way the Irish view themselves and their country. I admire how passionate each citizen is about Ireland, and I would hope that more and more immigrants would come here and adopt that view and their way of life here. Perhaps I am blinded by my love for this trip, but I do not see many negative changes happening for Ireland in the next three years. I think everyone we have met here is excited about the future and growth of Ireland, so I hope that as long as these views remain the same, there is nothing but good things to come for Ireland.
For all those reading this blog (basically Brad and Liz), I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to have had this experience. It is one I will never forget.
Not many pictures from yesterday, so I decided to include some highlights of the trip!
