Our last day started out with a visit to a fashion library in Milan. The library is home to fashion books and magazines from the late 1800s to today. They had everything from Vogue to Modern Bride, and we had a lot of time to look at whatever we wanted. It was really cool to look at how trends change and repeat throughout the decades. The library also has a room upstairs where they have fashion events and meetings. There is a cute kitchen area they use to cook for these events as well.
Next, we had a delicious meal for our farewell lunch. We went to a cute restaurant and sat outside in a private area. We had risotto and veal (again) but it was so good. We took a few group photos which will be nice to have to remember the trip.
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel because we were all really tired. I took a 2 hour nap, and before I knew it, it was almost time for dinner! A few friends and I went shopping near the fashion distiller then stopped for dinner. We had to get gelato to finish out our last night in Italy, too.
I’m so thankful for all the great friends I made on this trip because they really made it feel like more of a vacation than a school trip. I’m really sad to leave them, but I’m excited to go home because I miss my family. Hopefully the flights go smoothly tomorrow. So long, Milan!
