2 Days in One Blog

On May 17th, we got some time to explore Milan, but also had a company visit in the afternoon.  Although this was not your average company visit. The company came to us to give a presentation on what and how they do things.  Valaska was their name.  They were a startup that works make shoes available directly from manufactures to the customer.  By doing this they cut out the middle man and make it so that the price is more affordable.  This company went into the marketing strategy, the craftsmanship of their goods and everything their company stands by.  It was a great presentation.

I think I am about ready to leave this place.  This was a great trip, but it was also very tiring. On May 18th, we went to Milan Fashion Library.  Here we saw many magazines from the personal collection from a former professional in the fashion industry.  This collection was very cool, but somewhat overwhelming.  If we were studying a more technical field, it is important to note that the equalivant to the fashion library would be that of a patent library.

Besides the academics of this day, today was the last day that we got to hang out as a group. It was very nice to get know all of these wonderful people.  Due to the nature of a study abroad, we peers became very close.  I can honestly say that I got know well about half of the group, and am defiantly decently well acquainted with the other half.  This was my first trip to Italy and I am very happy to have spent it with these people.  I got along with everyone, everyone was respectful of me, we all just had a great time.  While I am going to miss the food here, I am really craving a cheeseburger.  An American cheeseburger.  I believe this is my last required blog and so I am signing off from the hotel in Milan.

As Jack would say, using some his 7 Italian vocabulary words.

A dio, arriverdierche, ciao, tootaloo

Goodbye forever, goodbye (formally), bye.

I do have one more story to tell, and that is the losing of my phone.
