I arrived at Pitt with so much excitement. I couldn’t wait to arrive in Seoul. I had my last American meal at Chik’n, which was amazing as always. Afterwards, I hung out with a few friends who were headed to other locations for Plus 3. We all talked about what we were looking forward to, and it just made us more excited. Then I headed down with my whole group for our dinner at Korea Garden. I didn’t have the highest expectations, but wow was the food good. We sat in our groups of six students and we had a great time just talking with each other. We planned to stay up all night, however that didn’t work out. There was a group of us who watched one of the NBA games. After it finished, I went to my room to relax, however I fell right to sleep. Luckily, I had an alarm, an woke up at 2:30 am ready to go. I took a refreshing shower and got all my stuff ready for departure. We loaded the bus at 4:15, and instead of sitting down and passing out, a group of us just talked and bonded more. Once we arrived at the airport, I thought chaos was going to occur. However, we were able to check our bags and get through security swiftly with no problems. The first flight was a breeze, and we ate like royalty at the Dallas airport while we waited for our next flight. We had an amazing chicken biscuit and French fries at Chick-fil-a. As we walked back, we all dreaded what was ahead. The 14-hour flight went like this … That’s it. We ate some food, slept, and then we arrived. On the flight, it felt like time had stalled, but once we arrived, it didn’t feel that long. We didn’t face any problems at customs, and as we headed out of the airport, we walked out into a new day.
