During our first full day in Busan we had a couple company visits planned for us with Trainor Korea and Busan New Container Terminal. We had to meet to leave at 9:20 so we had a little bit of time to sleep in before getting ready and going to breakfast. Our first visit was Trainor Korea so after a short bus ride we had arrived and went up to the office. While we were there, we got a presentation from the CEO of the company. He talked to us about the history of the business and then discussed the different things that they do and how they do it. After that visit we went to lunch at the restaurant in the same building which was convenient and good. When we were finished with lunch, they gave us some free time to walk around the area and to visit what they called the largest department store in the world, Shinsegae. Then it was time to get back on the bus and move on to our next company visit at Busan New Container Terminal. After an hour drive we showed up to the port where we went up to a conference room for a presentation from the President and CEO of BNCT. It was a great presentation and amazing to learn about what they do and how successful they have been by using the technology and systems that they use to be faster and more effective than anyone else. After the presentation we got to go up to the control room where we got a better view of the terminal and how they do everything that they do. It was really cool to see how they use completely automated cranes to move the containers from place to place and was the most smart systems we have learned yet.

After a great visit we got back on the bus and went to the hotel to relax and rest before dinner. For dinner a group of went out and found a restaurant and then walked around a popular area and went to the mall while exploring more of Busan. It was another great day and I’m excited for the last couple days coming my way.
