My name is Ben Hardy. I am from Washington, Pennsylvania, which is about 45 minutes southwest of Pittsburgh. I am currently finishing up my freshman year at Pitt. Recently, I just chose my major as a Civil Engineer. I chose civil engineering because I want to be a part of building the world around us.

I’ve chosen Plus3 Cyprus because I saw it as an opportunity to start traveling. My one greatest goal in life is to travel! I want to see the world. To me, this is a great start to see what the world has to offer. My roommate and I wanted to do a Plus3 trip together and at first it did not work out. He was placed on Netherlands, and I was waitlisted. However, now we are both going to Cyprus! I am on the real Cyprus trip, and he is on Cyprus 2, so it all worked out.

On this trip, I hope to see and start to have an understanding of the real world. All I have known to this point in my life is the point of view of the world from the United States, and I hope to expand to a wider point of view. I hope to learn to immerse myself into new cultures and try new things. Also, I am excited to learn about supply chains and how they impact the world. I am looking forward to meeting with the important businessmen of the country and listening to what they have to say.
