Hello! My name is Elena deRosas and I am a freshman from Buffalo, New York. I am currently enrolled in the Swanson School of Engineering, but am considering a major change to Neuroscience and Psychology. I am an avid Buffalo Bills fan and love to cook.

Academically, I know I want to pursue something in the sciences. I love to know how things work at a fundamental level, especially people, which is why I am considering a major switch. Although I am unsure of what I want to do after graduation, I want to do something in either the health sciences or health-related technology fields.

I chose to come on Plus3 Cyprus for a few reasons. Firstly, I have been abroad extensively, but have never been to the Mediterranean. I love learning about new cultures and how people in different areas go about life, so it made sense to me to try and go somewhere I have never been to. I am especially excited to try new foods! Secondly, this program has a large focus on business and supply chain, which is something I want to gain more knowledge on. I think having some sort of business knowledge is very useful in life. If I ever want to have my own business of some kind, the content of this trip will help me have a basic foundation of supply chains and other business topics.

I am so excited for this experience!
