Hi, my name is Josh and I am an incoming junior from Bucks County, PA. I am majoring in Accounting and Supply Chain Management, with certificates in Data Analytics and Sports Management. Here at Pitt I am an active member in the Phi Beta Lambda professional business organization, Sports Business Associate, and Club Swim. My goal for the future is to have an active role with a professional sports team in either the NBA or NFL, or as a higher-up at sports retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods. I have always had a passion for sports, and I believe I can tie this together with my interests in business and the skills I have learned in my time here. Next fall, I am taking on the position of Co-Vice President of Finance for PBL, and I am excited to act in a leadership role in an organization that has greatly improved my skills in a business setting.

I chose Plus3 Ireland because I knew from the time I committed to Pitt that I wanted to take advantage of the unique study abroad opportunities offered by the business school. I was disappointed last year when the Plus3 programs were virtual due to COVID-19, but when I learned that the opportunity was returning for sophomores and transfer business students I was excited to sign up for another opportunity at going abroad. I am looking forward to expanding my world view by travelling to new places and experiencing new cultures by immersing myself in the Dublin culture, as well as getting a hands-on look at the Irish business world.

Professionally, I am seeking to gain a working knowledge of how businesses operate and interact on an international stage. Academically, I hope to learn how to completing my course work in a timely manner and attending classes while travelling. While this may feel like a vacation abroad, it is also a great learning experience and there is still work to be done.
