About Me: Carter Knepp

Hi, my name is Carter Knepp, and I am from central Pennsylvania. I am a current sophomore majoring in Finance and accounting, with a minor in economics and a certificate in data analytics. This summer, I will be interning for S.R. Snodgrass in Cranberry with the audit department. On-campus, I am a member of Panther Equity.

The program I will experience is the Ireland Plus 3. While looking to attend Pitt, the international opportunities offered were very important to me. During my time in Ireland, I will be experiencing company site visits, exploring Dublin, and immersing myself in Ireland’s rich culture. After not being able to travel because of the pandemic, I cannot wait to travel and experience the world again finally.

What do I want to accomplish during the two weeks? Personally, I want to better understand the world, one country at a time. Also, I want to improve my skills in traveling abroad alone. Professionally, Ireland is a major center of business for Europe. I would like to learn how larger corporations and startups navigate the competitive, startup-friendly area and operate in a multinational manner. Academically, I hope to learn from the guest lecturers and balance my time. Balancing my time between assignments and exploring a new culture is a great skill to hone and develop.
