Hello everyone! My name is Riley Rodriguez, and I am from the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. I am a freshman in the Swanson School of Engineering pursuing a Civil Engineering major, and planning on a Transportation concentration. In my free time I like to hang out with friends, watch/play sports, and play video games. I am used to traveling around the world, as I’ve been to China multiple times, and once each to London and Paris.

I chose Plus3 because I feel studying abroad is an important experience in many ways, like getting a better understanding of other cultures. However, Plus3 has the added benefits of having an engineering and business focus.

I’m excited to be in the Cyprus 2 group, as I’ve always wanted to travel to the Mediterranean region of the world. Being an island, Cyprus has amazing beaches and climate, which I’m excited to see. In Cyprus, I hope to gain a better understanding of Cypriot culture through food, customs, etc. Additionally, I’d like to further my understanding of supply chains and how they function in our world, as well as gain insight into how engineering works in other countries.
