Hi everyone! My name is Adam Browning and I am a freshman in the Swanson School of Engineering. I am from Newtown PA, which is sort of a suburb of Philly. I am majoring in mechanical engineering and hope to get a minor in CS.

I really love the outdoors like hiking and sightseeing. I have played soccer since I was very young, and I ran track in high school. Some hobbies of mine are playing the guitar, snowboarding, cooking, eating, anything in the water, and thrifting. On campus, I love to longboard, go for runs and go the gym, go to new places/thrift, and participate in intermural sports. I am also a part of the coed frat Theta Tau.

I choose the Cyprus program because of the rich history it has. I have not been to Europe ever, so it will be super cool to learn more about the culture there. Because Cyprus is a mediterrean island, the weather and lifestyle there will be something I have never experienced before. I’m excited to explore Cyprus, see new places, meet new people, and try new food. Professionally, I choose Cyprus because I think it would be very interesting to see how other countries handle engineering. I know Cyprus is a prime location for supply chains, which I am looking forward to learning more about!
