Hi everyone! My name is Vipin Punna, and I’m extremely excited to study abroad with Plus3 Germany!

I am currently a freshman in Pitt Business majoring in Finance and BIS with a certificate in Business Analytics and a minor in French. I’m from the DC area, and I chose Pitt because of its great academics and was impressed by the number of study abroad opportunities that were offered. Studying abroad during college has been a dream of mine, so I’m excited to be in Germany in just a few more weeks!

On campus, I’m involved with Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, and Panther Equity, but I hope to be much more involved next semester. Professionally, I hope to pursue a career focused on technology and/or data analytics. Outside of school, I love lifting, cooking, and watching movies. I’m also super into geography, languages, and aviation, so it’s a dream of mine to visit at least 100 countries by the time I’m 40!

I chose Plus3 Germany because it is a country and culture that I have never experienced before. Although I have visited a few countries in Europe, I’m very excited to see what makes Germany so unique and to learn the cultural differences between Germany and other European nations and the US. I am also very interested in the automobile industry and the direction it is heading. Knowing that Germany is famous for its dozens of car brands, I know that I will receive a first-hand experience like no other.
