Currently, it is the end of my first day here in Costa Rica, and I must say, the country, from what I’ve seen so far, is remarkably scenic. Even though we spent the majority of our time walking around the city today, there was no shortage of things to see. For example, the restaurant we had lunch at was open air, and the seating area was incredibly beautiful in its own right, with all the foliage in the sunlight. To see what I mean, look at the included picture.

As for how it matched my expectations, I would say that, thus far, it’s been more or less what I expected. As I said earlier, the sights were beautiful, and since we were in an urban area, it was interesting seeing what was different between Costa Rican cities and American ones. Some of the more interesting differences were in the architecture we saw, with most of the buildings being shorter than we may be used to.
