Today in Cyprus was probably the best day so far. The day started like the last. I got up at 7:00 am, took a shower, and got a quick breakfast. The group then went on a tour of DP World, a company specializing in cargo logistics. The speaker was amazing and gave great insight on how the company functions as well as some small life tips. We then met with Eurogate. They gave us a great tour of the port and told us about how their machinery works. It was a great experience. I found it very interesting how the large saddle machines (the tall ones that transport the containers, I forgot the exact name), function as well as how little training is needed. The tour guide said that only 70-100 hours of training are needed, which I think is very little considering how difficult the machinery looks.
After that tour, we got lunch on the pier in Limassol. We then had some free time to explore Limassol, which was pretty cool. We saw a castle that belonged to King Lionheart. It was very interesting, but at the same time was very dull inside. It am curious what they do inside castles because there is so much empty space that has no purpose. After that castle tour, I took a dip in the water, which surprisingly was not too cold (in image).
I got dinner at a restaurant called the Burger Bar and then went to bed early as I have to get up early tomorrow for a tour in the mountains! peace
