Day 10: PWC and Exploring Nicosia

Today, we stayed in Nicosia for meetings and exploration. First, we went to PWC to hear about supply chain management, circular economy, blockchain, and technology. We saw a hologram of the CEO to introduce us to the company, which was really cool. I learned a lot from the supply chain presentation about transparency, segmentation, and how artificial intelligence is incorporated into managing a supply chain. I didn’t know much about the circular economy or blockchain before visiting this company, but through these presentations I gained a better understanding of how they work and are related to the real world. The company building also had a very nice view and unique elevators with glass doors. We also ate some snacks for lunch.

After visiting PWC, we had free time to explore Nicosia. We tried to go to a farmers market, but it was unsuccessful! We then went to the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia, where we saw lots of interesting things, including Cypriot artwork and archaeological findings. Then we went to Shacolas Tower, which is the tallest building in the old city of Nicosia, to look out at the view in every direction. We could see lots of landmarks that we visited on foot with Georgianna on Day 1! Then we went to the Cyprus Museum and saw more ancient artwork and archaeological findings. The collection was super impressive!

Then we had our last group mezeh meal. It was fairly similar to our other mezeh meals, but still pretty good! I’m excited for our last day, but sad that our trip is ending so soon!
