Today was entertaining! We got to tour the city of Ulm, which was beautiful. There was an extraordinary cathedral that we got to visit that reminded me and many of my fellow plus three group members of Cathy back home in Pittsburgh. Although I may be biased, Cathy is definitely one hundred times better! The castle was filled with colorful stained glass windows depicting different scenes from the Bible.

Everyone wanted to go up to the top of the building to check out the view, so we had to trek up many stairs! I had a hard time climbing up the stairs as I can’t even say I am out of shape since I have never been in shape! Thankfully, part of the stairs up was blocked, so we could only go a little over two-thirds of the way up. It took me forever, and I was the last one up the stairs, but it was worth it when I got to the top! The view was breathtaking, and it was peaceful and relaxing standing near the top of the building.

After the city tour, we had lunch at L’ Osteria restaurant. They had these giant pizzas that were amazing. I ordered a Caprese pizza, just a cheese pizza with mozzarella, basil, and fresh tomatoes. Daniel, our resident Italian, also taught me how to pronounce Caprese because I pronounced it like the drink Capri sun. After lunch, we took the train back to Augsburg, and I headed to the hotel. Unfortunately, I was exhausted, so my day ended here as I just watched some tv, worked on my project and went to bed. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Until Next Time!
