Hey! My name is Madeleine Murphy, but call me Murph! I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with friends, organizing, and going to the gym. I am about to complete my first year student at the University of Pittsburgh. My first year flew by so fast I can’t believe it. I am studying Accounting in the Business School. I am Vice President of Operations for the University of Pittsburgh’s Accounting Association. I have worked along side my stepdad in construction for about 5 years now. I also have an online business through Mercari. I have 242 completed sales with a 5 star rating. I have learned a lot how to manage the customer relationship, which has grown my love for business.

I have chosen the beautiful island of Cyprus to study abroad. I hope to get a global understanding of how business is conducted globally, more specifically on an island. I hope to meet great people and make new friends. I hope to learn an understanding of how business is conducted elsewhere in the world and learn how business operates on a day to day basis. I hope to gain connections abroad and become more well-rounded in the business world. I think this opportunity will be super beneficial to opening my eyes of the real business world.
