Costa Rica on the clock

Hi Everyone!

My name is Lizzie Sununu, and I am a freshman business student here at Pitt. I am currently planning on majoring in marketing with a certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation and a minor in economics. I am from a small town in New Hampshire almost 10 hours from Pittsburgh. I grew up by the beach and the mountains so I enjoy skiing and surfing. I also love to play soccer, run, read and draw. At school, I enjoy my time as a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, as well as Kappa Delta, a social sorority.

This month I will be traveling with the Plus 3 program to Costa Rica!! I am very excited to be able to take my studies abroad and to get a taste of what it would be like to study abroad in the future. I chose to travel to Costa Rica because of their amazing culture and environment as well as the unique opportunity to study the supply chain of coffee and bananas.

During my time in Costa Rica I am looking forward to broadening my global business knowledge. I am excited to tour the different coffee and banana plantations, to hike and explore costa rican nature and to try new foods and be introduced to a new culture. I think that these new experiences inside and outside the classroom will allow me to understand more about global supply chains and will help me learn to apply the knowledge I will gain to my life back in Pittsburgh. As May 6th gets closer and closer, I am eager to meet new people, make new friends and try all the new things that Costa Rica has to offer.

I know the time will be here before I know it. I have to start thinking about my packing soon. Costa Rica, we will see you so soon! I can’t wait!
