Hello, my name is Evan Turner and I am a first year student in the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. I am currently studying mechanical engineering, with a huge passion for physics and how the world works around me. With my knowledge in engineering, I hope to one day have a beneficial impact on the world and the people around me.

As for my personal life, I am from a small town in New Jersey where I grew up with my three brothers and sister. Having so many people to hangout with as a kid, I have grown to love outdoor activities such as baseball, golf, hiking, and fishing. Also, while at Pitt I have explored new activities such as Spikeball and disc golf.

I have also been given the opportunity to travel to multiple countries overseas such as Mexico, Italy, Netherlands, France, and the UK. With my experience and love for traveling, the Plus3 Germany program immediately caught my attention. This amazing program will not only give me a new perspective on a different culture, but it will also allow me to further my academic and professional aspirations as mechanical engineer.

I am so excited for this opportunity and I cannot wait to begin!
