Let’s Go To Germany!

Hello Everybody! My name is Ryan Fox, and I am currently a Freshman at the University of Pittsburgh. I am in the College of Business Administration planning to major in Finance and Supply Chain along with a minor in Economics. Ever since I was young, I have always had an interest in business, partly inspired by my dad’s entrepreneurial spirit, along with my own interests. Now that I am studying at the University of Pittsburgh, I have been getting involved on campus, joining the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending as much time outside as possible whether that be running on the trails in Schenley Park, or sitting in the quad getting work done. I also very much enjoy going to the gym, mountain biking, and trying any new food I can. I have been lucky enough to travel out of the country before, and I loved being able to see a new culture and try new food, fully immersing myself in their lifestyle. This is how I found my love for travel and the reason for being extremely excited to have the opportunity to do Plus3 Germany.

I chose to participate in Plus3 Germany because I have always been very interested in the German culture and lifestyle along with the auto industry. I have little to no knowledge regarding the German language, but I am beyond excited to learn it and be able to communicate with locals. On the other hand, I have always been interested in cars and having the opportunity to learn more about not only the automotive industry, but also the German culture is what makes Plus3 Germany perfect for me.

Professionally, I hope to gain an understanding of how the global economy functions, along with experience interacting and connecting with many different people who have much different lifestyles than my own. Both of these goals I have set for myself can only be accomplished though a program such as this one.

Overall, I am extremely excited to be going on Plus3 Germany and I cannot wait to post more blogs, updating everyone on my experience.
