Hello, I’m Emma Rowland and I’m a Mechanical engineering student here at Pitt. I chose engineering because I love calculus and I like how everything connects in engineering. I grew up in Columbus Ohio, I went to a small high school called Grandview Heights. I have had the opportunity to travel to France and I’m so excited to be back in Europe. I love mountains so I can’t wait to see the alps.
I just recently chose to do mechanical engineering and I’m interested in visiting companies in Germany to see what some mechanical engineers actually do. Recently I’ve been interested in maybe working with hydrogen fuel cell powered cars.
I chose the Germany plus three programs because I really enjoy watching formula one racing and the automotive industry is huge in Germany. I’m excited to visit Audi as they are joining F1 soon. On this program I hope to learn more about the automotive industry and German culture.
