Want of Cyprus Coffee

Hello! My name is CJ Shores, and I am from Rochester, New York. I am a first-year bioengineer with the intent of minoring in computer science. In the future, I hope to integrate software with biomechanics to help advance and benefit healthcare.

Outside of school, I am involved in Chi Alpha, a youth Christian program that helps college students grow in their faith. Additionally, when I am home you can find me usually at Wegmans, where I work in produce. Whenever I have free time, I enjoy a variety of sports such as golf and soccer. Finally, when I am not working or playing sports, you can find me on my boat as I am an avid lover of all forms of watercraft.

I choose to go to Cyprus mostly due to the heavy influence of software engineering on the island. Software engineering fascinated me as well as the human body, hence my bioengineering major. Furthermore, I believe this will develop my understanding of software engineering and help propel my fascination with integrating both medicine and software. Personally, I am excited to experience the culture and try the various forms of coffee. Throughout the semester I have developed a love for coffee, therefore I am fascinated to further my love of coffee in a place with such diverse coffee. Overall, I am extremely excited for our trip to Cyprus.
