Today we left Pitt to start heading to Cyprus. I am looking forward to doing so many things there. The food seems amazing. Food is a big part of a country’s culture, and you can learn a lot about people from their food. I am also excited to see all the ruins and different monuments around Cyprus. I think that it is really cool to learn more about the history of places that I visit. It is interesting that Cyprus was under British control for a while and the wars between Turkey and Greece for control. I am excited to meet native Cyprians and the students at the University of Nicosia. I find it amazing that we get to work with them and learn some things from them.
I haven’t been to the beach in a lot of months and I am really excited to go again soon. The beaches in Cyprus are gorgeous with clear blue water and I can’t wait to see them. The hotel has a rooftop pool that I am so excited to try. There are great views from the pool and it will be fun to hang out in. The hotel itself also seems really nice and I can’t wait to go there. It is going to be so fun to explore all around Cyprus with this group.
For our trips today we started at the Pitt international airport. There they have a sensory room with a lot of cool features. We explored it a little bit, and tried the different lights and shapes. We then had a short flight to Washington DC. From there we have an 8 hour flight to Germany. This flight is going to be huge because the plane can hold up to around 570 passengers. Tomorrow we will be in Cyprus and I couldn’t be more excited.
