The first thing I noticed about Germany was the geography and terrain as we left the airport. It reminded a lot of rural Pennsylvania, as the highway cut between small farms for miles and miles. However, I immediately knew we weren’t in America because of how smooth and well maintained the roads were. We got to briefly drive on the Autobahn, and while cars were driving much faster, there was a much greater sense of respect, and order than what we’re used to in America. Cars were staying in their lanes, and no one was being cut off or blocking traffic. Germany seems like a very ordered, but also relaxed place, and I’m excited to learn more about it.
