Today was full of exciting sights and scenery, which filled me with ideas and inspiration for what the rest of the trip is going to look like. It was full of highs and lows; both metaphorically and literally.
My non-timezone-acclimated body woke up at 6, so I took a stroll around town, took photos, and had a lovely breakfast before our walking tour. Jana was an amazing tour guide with her detailed and captivating descriptions of the city, architecture, and history. We reached a high: the Prague Castle, Hradčany. The church was my favorite part with its stained glass windows, high gothic ceilings, and singers that filled it with their voices.

We found a wonderful little restaurant for lunch before heading to the Communist Museum. It was fascinating to see artifacts and read about how much has changed in this country in just the last 100 years. I was particularly interested in the ways that different groups of people protested and fought for their rights.
A drink on a rooftop bar carried us over to our group dinner, where we enjoyed fresh pasta, sorbet, and lobster dip melted from a candle. The low was from standing outside in the chilly wind while waiting for the train, but we made the most of it by styling Grant in various jackets. All-in-all, even the lows aren’t too low here in Prague.
