Today we visited the company Hoerbiger and toured two of their factories. One of the factories produces valves such as circuit and gas valves and the other factory produced blocker rings for automobiles. When it came to the factory producing the valves, I was impresses by the complexity of each device. Not only that, but they use it for so many applications such as medical equipment and laser cutters that it seemed they have a significant hand in the market. When they constructed the blocker ring at the other factory, I was mesmerized by the different machines and assembly line used for making them, and the fact that everything was in tempo sounded like music to my ears and was very satisfying. I believe that Hoerbiger will be able to adjust to the automobile industry going from gas to electric vehicles as they have addressed the issues concerning this change, and are able to adjust how they make certain parts for autonomous vehicles.
Aside from visiting Hoerbiger today, we went to Oberammergau in the Alps. The entire time I was there was breathtaking. The town was nothing like I have ever seen, with its location and the architecture of each of the buildings being so unique from anywhere else. I went shopping with some friends and got souvenirs for our trip and went to the bakery for a snack. After that we took a gondola to the peak of a mountain and the view of the Alps was nothing like I have ever seen before. By far the most beautiful place I have ever site see. Then got dinner at a place called Zur Tini Weinstube. Overall best place I have visited in Germany by far.
For food today, I had eggs and bacon for breakfast at the hotel, and a pretty basic sub for lunch today at Hoerbiger. At Oberammergau however was the best part. I had a pretzel for a snack and a bratwurst for dinner today and I must say that it was fantastich! Overall dining rating for today: 9/10.
