After another fabulous breakfast at the hotel (I can’t get over this buffet still) we headed to Charles University for two lectures on language and economics in the Czech Republic. In-between, we enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Chez Louvre.

Throughout the trip, we got to spend a little bit of time at Charles University and at the technical university. One of the big differences that I noticed is that they don’t have campuses here, just sporadic buildings throughout the city. While Pitt doesn’t have much of a campus either, most colleges in the U.S. do. It is also interesting that the schools are broken up into technical and non-technical. It seems like we have more flexibility to take classes across several disciplines at Pitt.

After class, we got a real taste of Prague at the Pilsner Beer Experience. We walked to different animated rooms with a headset that told us about the history of Pilsner, and how brewmasters of Prague had an uprising where they spilled 36 barrels on the streets. The history lesson made the tasting even more special.

We then ventured to the sex machine museum, which was, let’s just say, interesting. I’m always seeking knowledge. Now off to dinner and the Dog Bar!
