It’s hard to believe that just last week was our pre-departure meal in Benedum. Throughout this past week I have had a great time exploring Prague and meeting people along the way. One thing that we learned before embarking on our journey was that Czech people were pretty standoffish and were not the friendliest to new people. However, during my short time here, I have been treated with such kindness by local Czechs. For example, Becca and I were struggling to replicate one of the Kafka statues and immediately two people came over to help us get the perfect picture. Overall, I have been treated kindly and have yet to have a bad encournter.
Today was another jam-packed day. We started off with my favorite company visit so far!! We got to go to a real mining site and learn about how they collect brown coal and generate energy from it. It was such a cool experience. After we had some free time to try some Czech street food and went to a black light theatre. It is easy to say that I love Prague!
