Hello everyone, today was another great day here in Ireland. We had a really early wake up call this morning so we could make it to our tour bus for the day. We made it to the tour bus at around 8am. The tour bus took us to 3 different places. First we went to Kilkenny Ireland which is a really cute and really small little town about 2 hours south of Dublin. Once we got there we had about 2 hours to walk around and explore this beautiful town. When we first walked off the bus there was a huge castle that you could walk around and explore. But this town had so much more to offer than this castle, just a little ways down from the castle was so many shops, and cafes, and restaurants. I ended up doing a little shopping for my family while talking with some of the locals.
The locals in the rural side of the country are a lot different than the locals in Dublin. I feel like Dublin has a lot of cultures from all over the world, everywhere you go you hear a different language/accent. In the rural areas that are not as common to tourist the locals grew up there. They have their own small businesses. However, I personally don’t think the locals perceptions of foreigners differ depending on where you are in Ireland. Everyone I have met has been super friendly and kind. I will never know their exact perception without out asking them directly, but I think all locals view foreigners the same and are very welcoming to everyone who comes in. I think this because foreigners bring in business and thats how these towns thrive. I really enjoyed this town as it was a lot different than Dublin but reminded me of my small hometown back in America. It felt good supporting all the local businesses who come out everyday to meet with tourist like us.
After our 2 hours in Kilkenny we had about another two hours till we arrived at our next stop of the day. But before we stopped there we made a quick stop at a beautiful scenic view of two valleys meeting in between a lake. I was amazed by the views, I couldn’t stop looking at it. We had about 10 minutes to stop and take pictures before getting back on the bus for about 30 minutes.
We reach our actual second spot of the day. It was another fun little town called Glendalough. This town also had stunning views. It even had a hotel where you could explore this town and all the views all night. We only had 2 hours today, but thats okay because I can go back and look at my photos whenever I want lol.

Our 3rd and final spot of the day was a sheep farm. The sheep farm was so much fun. I really enjoyed watching the sheep and the dogs run around the huge field. In the background you could hear the baby sheep making noises and it was so cute. The owner gave us a brief history and detail of how he runs his sheep farm. Personally I think this is an excellent example of entrepreneurship. The owner was talking about how he is the fourth generation in his family to own and run this sheep farm. His great grand father started this business. Selling the sheep, while also selling the tours. So I do believe entrepreneurship was very evident today. Also I got to hold a baby lamb today and it was honestly the cutest thing ever I never wanted to let go!! Today was a really fun day!!
