Day 7-Munich

We are halfway through our trip and what better way to celebrate than by going to the capital of Bavaria, Munich. The city was very crowded and a definitely a tourist destination, but it was beautiful nonetheless. We had a tour guide take us through all off Munich, from the Glockenspiel to the Englischer Garten. Afterward, we went to the top of the St. Peter’s clocktower where we got a whole view of the entire city and it was breathtaking.

I got a few gifts and souvenirs for not only myself, but my family back at home. One of those inluded a stein glass from the Houfbrua Haus. I got this because our family loves the Houfbrua Haus in Pittsburgh and going to the original Houfbrua Haus in Munich without getting a souvenir was not an option. It will be a nice gift for my mom for mother’s day! She loves putting a bouquet of flowers in large glasses and placing them in our kitchen for all to see.

Breakfast that I had today included the traditional hotel breakfast. For lunch I went to the famous Haufbrau Haus that I mentioned earlier and got myself a pretzel, bratwurst w/ fries, and of course I have to have the apple strudel. Dinner was okay though. We went to a burger restaurant which I did not think was the best. Its probably due to the fact that I have been eating German food for so long that I forgot what an American burger taste like. My overall dining ranking for today is a 9/10. Just shy of a 10/10 if dinner was a bit better.
