On Thursday we visited the Wargaming headquarters in Nicosia. We received a tour of the building which was the first company to give us a tour. We saw their staff’s amenities like their gym and spa. The majority of their employees paid for massages which was nice because they were significantly cheaper than the market. They took us to the 13th floor where we could overlook the city. It was very nice, but a little scary. After the tour, we had a presentation and asked questions.

After Wargaming, we headed over to University of Nicosia where we had lunch and headed to our first activity. We collaborated with other UNIC students to calculate the amount of C02 emissions from each of us to get to Cyprus which was interesting. It put things into perspective for why we have the issue of global warming. Then onto another class with other UNIC students we had another collaboration activity with many tasks. It was interesting to interact with more students, most of which were not from Cyprus.
After UNIC, we headed to Nicosia’s Old Town. We toured the city where we saw the Green Line which was really cool. There were Cyprian guard men who were there, and they were friendly. To see the wall was strange, and reminded me of the Berlin Wall. Parts of the wall are makeshift, for example they used barrels both blue and white for Greek colors and you could see inside of the buffer zone. All of the buildings were desolate and destroyed. We walked into a shopping area and found some authentic Armenian food, which was really good. The town was nice with beautiful architecture spread around. The group I was with had a really nice conversation at dinner and I felt as if we were growing very close. I’m having lots of fun here.
