Ranch Day/Mother’s Appreciation!

Hey again guys! This was my favorite day so far and I’m so excited to tell you about it. It all started with breakfast yet again. I had eggs, yogurt, and cheese slices with some coffee. We had a later start time too, so I slept in an extra hour. Our bus ride was over an hour. I tried to sleep but just ended up listening to music the whole ride. It was really relaxing. We went to Lujan to see the basilica which was absolutely beautiful and had super cool statues and artworks inside. A mass was actually going on when we were there and 15 priests were in attendance. A couple of people bought a few rosaries in the market. It was ridiculously hot this morning too. For a moment at the basilica, I felt like I was going to pass out because of the heat. I got some water afterwards

After visiting the basilica, we drove a little bit outside of the city of Lujan to a recreational ranch. There were games, lounges, and animals! A lot of us played Spikeball, volleyball, fussball, and went for a bike ride. I took a picture of the pigs that they had because they were ridiculously cute and tiny. We tried to catch a tractor ride through the area but missed it several times. For lunch, we had assorted meats and cheeses. I ate some cow colon, yum! My stomach was not friendly with some of that food! We spent pretty much the entire day at the ranch. Today kind of felt like a nice reset, R&R type of day which was definitely needed because I haven’t been getting too much sleep on this trip. We got back pretty late too, since the drive back to the hotel was over an hour plus we left at around 5:30. There was also a lot of traffic on the highway for some reason.

In celebration of Mother’s Day tomorrow, we were asked to write about someone special in our lives that has always loved and supported us from day one. Thank you for everything that you do for me, Mom. You are the sweetest person who has made me your number one priority since day one. I hope you know that everything you do doesn’t go unnoticed or taken for granted! I miss you and hope you have a nice trip tomorrow. Happy Mother’s Day!!!!!
