Seventh Day Czech In – The Best of the Best of Prague Cuisine

When I got to Prague one of my fellow students asked me what I was most excited for.  I said the food.  They immediately chuckled at me answer in astonishment that of all the things that I could be excited about, food was at the top of my list.  Well, I bet they’re not chuckling now because the food was amazing.  I’ve had a lot of great food, snacks like natural gingerbread cookies, drinks like natural peppermint leaf tea, and main dishes like sliced beef roast.  The best thing I’ve had though was the beef cheeks and mashed potatoes meal that we had on a site visit.  I was skeptical about the beef cheeks; it was something I never had before!  Yet when I tried them, they were amazing, and the mashed potatoes complimented them perfectly.  I enjoyed it so much that I think I quite literally ate too much.  An honorable mention is the chicken and rice noodles that I had at a café for brunch (pictured below).  It was light but flavorful, and the gravy was just enough to partner with the chicken and rice noodles.
