The Czech custom that resonates with me the most so far is greeting people when you enter/exit local businesses. I think it’s a kind gesture to greet people in general let alone when you enter their storefront. People sacrifice so much of their time and energy to create a business that it is truly their second home. Being able to browse their delicious treats, beautiful artwork, etc.. is a gift in itself.
Today we made our furthest journey from Prague to Cesky Krumlov. Cesky Krumlov is a quaint tourist town that had stunning architecture that accentuated the geological features of the town. While there we had a brief walking tour that allowed us to get the best views of the town and then toured the castle. The castle was so cool, I felt like I was a character in Bridgerton. The tour was really informative and gave us a sneak peek into the lives of some of the residents of the castle. Afterwards we got to go souvenir shopping.
