Czeching out Cesky Krumlov

Today we took a trip to Cesky Krumlov. The city is located near the southern border with Austria. It was about a 2 and a half hour drive. When we got there, I didn’t really know what to expect but the town was very nice. Its located right on the river but the river isn’t that wide or deep near the city. They’ve built some canals to make getting water easier and it was like super miniature Venice. We walked around the city for a while and checked out the main parts. We then got a tour of the castle where the nobility used to live. The coolest thing was that they had live bears outside the castle in the moat. That was something I was not expecting when going here. On the other hand though, inside the castle they had bear rugs!? My guess is that when they die they turn them into rugs. Even though it rained a decent bit, it was still a fun town to visit.

A custom I personally do not like about the Czech Republic is that you have to pay to use the public bathrooms. It is pretty annoying because you are not used to it and I’d rather not pay money on such a normal thing.
