Today was our 9th day in Ireland and we are all very used to being a tourist, but I have not taken time to reflect on tourist activities affects the business and culture of Ireland. After visiting the Cliffs of Moher I will explain its impacts as a tourist attraction on those aspects.

CLIFFS OF MOHER
First I will look at how the cliffs are a large contribution to the culture of Ireland. Moher is one of the Ireland’s most prized possessions that draws in millions of tourists a year. I was amazed by the natural beauty of Ireland which contributes to the culture because it shows the country’s efforts and commitment to natural preservation. The cliffs are a designated protected area there were walls in place to keep us away from the edge, but also to preserve the beauty. But I believe most of the other tourist activities we participated in were more culturally impactful. I believe that all walking tours, bus tours, museums, and site visits gave me more insight to culture than the cliffs did. There is more historical significance and folk tales about the cliffs but I did not have enough time to read the signs because we only stayed for an hour.
On the other hand, I personally believe that the Cliffs of Moher have a larger business impact than cultural. This tourist site is frequently featured in ads, magazines, and movies which attracts many customers. This was my most anticipated moment of the entire itinerary, which shows how this beautiful location drives in tourists who then buy tickets, souvenirs, and some travel to Ireland just to see it. Not to mention it is an unbelievable marketing tool, tourists come take photos and post it online increasing their global brand. I have already had several friends text me about how amazing the photos I posted were, and they were not aware of how scenic Ireland is. Tourist attractions also help create jobs boosting the economy and providing many positive externalities. Moher is not the only tourist attraction that provides the business benefits, all the attractions have similar effects on a smaller scale.
Today we also stopped by Galway for lunch, the Irish culture was prominent in this town.

CO. GALWAY, IRELAND
If I were in charge of making a sales pitch for Ireland I would prioritize the people and also mention the scenic drives, fast growing business, and night life. I prioritized the people because everyone I have met in Ireland wants to talk and socialize with you, and they are the backbone of the Irish culture. At restaurants my servers have been sarcastic making jokes, and life in Ireland seems more relaxed than what I am used to. I will really miss the culture here when I go back to the United States.
This trip is moving way too fast I cant believe there are only a few days left.
