Tourism and the Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher are arguably one of the most well known sights in Ireland and today I got to see them myself! Tourism is a huge part of the economy in many places all over the world and being a tourist myself this week in Ireland I have seen the impact it can have. Both in cultural and economic ways, tourism can have many affects. Culturally it allows for awareness to be spread but also allows for new ideas to be brought to different places. Economically tourism can generate a lot of revenue and profits for many businesses and individuals. If I were to make a sales pitch for tourism in Ireland there are a few things I would highlight. First I would make sure to highlight the very green landscape, beautiful waterways and coastlines. I would also make sure to point out that Ireland has many different types of lifestyles. For example, like in one of the pervious posts, Ireland has both rural farmlands as well as urban tech based areas so there is truly something for everyone. Lastly, I’d make sure to highlight Ireland’s unique history and point out that there are so many stories to be told by people who have seen the changes themselves. Honestly, Ireland has been such a great experience and being able to understand and learn more about a place so unique is something I truly am grateful for.
