Day 11 – Presentations

Today there was no wake up call, so I was able to sleep until 9:30 which was amazing. I woke up feeling great and got right to work preparing our project to be presented. We headed to meet our group at the University by 11:30am. Once we got to the university we met our German group members and ran through the full presentation. We were perfect on time coming in at 29 minutes and change. This gave us enough confidence to head to the university’s cafeteria to get lunch. The lunch system here is much different from the buffet style at home. Here, you are served a specific dish and must pay for each item you take.

After lunch, we headed to the room to do presentations. There were four 30 minute presentations that went almost back to back. My group presented 3rd and I think overall the presentation went very well. Everyone in my group spoke very clearly and explained the topics well. After presentations were over, it was almost time to have our goodbye dinner at Ratskeller.

We arrived for our goodbye dinner at around 7pm, and the restaurant was gorgeous with huge vaulted ceilings. I ordered a salad with chicken on it. I wanted a schnitzel but I knew my stomach wouldn’t agree with it. The salad was great and just what I needed. After saying goodbye to the German students we went back to our hotel and reality started to hit.

I couldn’t believe it was the end of the program already. All we have left is our free day tomorrow which I’m very excited for. I feel like this trip went by so fast it’s crazy. I am looking forward to the free day tomorrow very much!
