FoodCloud prides themselves in helping and providing food for local charities and the less fortunate. There mission is to help underserved communities and contribute to saving the environment around them and lower the food waste problem. The entire goal of the non-profit organization is to serve the community around them.

As mentioned by the speaker, FoodCloud is primarily a B2B business which means they do business with other businesses. This means they don’t have to spend as much money on marketing as if they were to be a B2C company. Some benefits of being a B2B company are that everything is more streamlined and the marketing and customer acquisition costs are less. However, the company does not like to turn away people who walk in asking for help with food. They would usually direct them to a local nearby facility or charity for help and try their best to help them on the spot with whatever they can, but since they are a B2B company, there are many regulations they have to follow.

The most unique part of their business model is their ability to obtain mass amounts of food and eliminating food waste at the same time. Even though the company can make a profit from their food, all of the money is reinvested in the business to continue to grow and expand.

I believe the most innovate aspect of their business model is the technology they currently have or can be implemented. With the rise of AI and how useful it is for many companies around the world, FoodCloud can also seek to implement AI in their everyday operations to make everything much easier.
