Thanks a Million

I am so happy I got the opportunity to visit the amazing country of Ireland. Not only was this my first time out of the country but I gained lots of insight on global culture. One of the biggest takeaways for me is the importance of relationships. Being able to walk up to a stranger and form a bond is a crucial skill I am happy to hold. Not only are people skills important in business but in everyday life. Many success stories root from networking and relationships. For example, while discovering the pub scene I made many new connections with people not only from Ireland but all over the world! My ability to talk led me to new networks that I hope will benefit me in the future.

I am very proud I was able to adapt to a new culture. Upon arrival, I was questioning my ability to expand my tastes and knowledge. To my surprise I enjoyed the new culture and change! I tried new foods, drinks, and was open to assimilate to Irish culture. In addition, with my ability to listen, I implimented irish language into my everyday speech. I enjoyed seeing people’s expressions when I called the line to the bathroom a queue.

In conclusion, Ireland will be missed. I left with new friendships and great memories. I hope to travel more in Europe and use my new knowledge at new destinations. As they say in Ireland, “thanks a million”!
