About Me
Hello! My name is Lorelei Mulvihill. I’m from Harrisburg PA, and I’m a freshman studying nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. I’m pursing my BSN with a certificate in global health studies. On campus I’m involved in the Pitt Nursing Student Association (NSA) as a member of the service committee. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, skiing, running, and being outdoors. I love exploring new places and trying new things (especially foods)!
Plus3 United Kingdom
I’m very excited for our trip to the United Kingdom. We will be focusing on diversity in the fields of nursing and education. As a women in healthcare, I’m am interested in seeing the dynamic that gender and other social determinants play in healthcare and education in the UK. I’m excited to speak to students and staff at Birmingham City University, and I hope to learn how clinical settings in the United Kingdom compare to my experience at the University of Pittsburgh.
As someone who has never traveled abroad before, I am very grateful for the opportunity to explore another country with my peers. This trip will be a great learning experience, and I am excited to explore both Birmingham and London. I hope to immerse myself in another culture and expand my knowledge of diversity, especially in the nursing field.
I’m so grateful that Pitt Nursing has provided this opportunity! I’m especially grateful towards Dr. Marks and Mrs. Lombardi for everything they’ve done to provide this experience.
