Introduction: Kevin Doerzbacher

Hello! My name is Kevin Doerzbacher, a first-year student in the College of Business Administration. I am from Philadelphia, PA, and am undecided on my major with a minor in spanish. My decision to go to Pitt was based off of its location and due to the fact that my family is from here. My hobbies include movies, sports, and hanging out with my friends and family. I am going to be a teacher’s assistant next semester for the business school introduction course which I can’t wait for. I am super excited to become closer with my cohort as we travel together this May!

My decision to go to Vietnam is because of the uniqueness of the opportunity to travel to Asia. It will be a culture shock where I will learn so much about different dynamics that occur in other countries. Our site visits will be extremely beneficial for me because I will be able to see how businesses in other countries operate in comparison to businesses in the United States. This ability to be aware of cultural differences in business is a skill that I desire having and this trip makes that possible for me. I am also excited to try new foods and experience the day to day life of a person living in Ho Chi Minh City. Finally, I hope to connect with the Vietnamese students as partners and friends as I learn their country’s culture. It is going to be a great trip and I am so thankful for the opportunity to experience this international exposure!
