Hello everyone, my name is Steffen Manjikian, and I am a first-year business student majoring in finance and global management. I’m from Belmont Massachusetts, about fifteen minutes west of Boston. I have a passion for soccer, and I’ve been involved competitively since I was about eight years old. In my free time, I enjoy any outdoor activity whether that be swimming, playing basketball with friends, or spike ball at the beach. At Pitt, I’m involved in Club Soccer and the Undergraduate Finance Club.
I am beyond excited to participate in Plus3 Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh City, this May. I chose this program to have the best mix of professionalism and opportunity for personal growth. Vietnam represents a culture and history vastly different from my own, offering me a unique opportunity to broaden my perspectives. Academically, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of globalization’s impacts, especially in a country like Vietnam that is currently experiencing rapid economic growth. With my second major being global management, I’m eager to explore how Vietnam’s business culture and operational philosophies compare to those of the United States. Overall, I look forward to forging new friendships and creating unforgettable memories during this experience abroad.
