Introduction – Isabella Di Santo

Hi! My name is Isabella Di Santo and I am from Harrisburg, PA. I am a first year nursing student at the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt I play intramural soccer and I am also a part of the sorority Chi Omega. I plan on graduating with my BSN and continuing on to graduate school to become a CRNA.

I enjoy playing sports, specifically soccer, and I love being outdoors. I am very active and love to travel, explore new places, and try new foods. My favorites are the beach, listening to music, and hanging out with family and friends.

I am so excited to go to Argentina for many reasons. I love traveling and I am ready to explore a new part of the world that I have not yet seen, but I am also excited for the experience I will get. I think a program like this will be beneficial for my career in the future by preparing me with better knowledge and a better understanding in general, but also for my future patients. Going to Argentina and taking this experience I will learn about the globalization of healthcare, while also learning about the country and their culture. We will learn challenges other countries face when it comes to healthcare and how they overcome these challenges. Learning this will teach me how to handle challenges myself, especially when it comes to my future in healthcare. Overall I cannot wait for this amazing experience to Argentina!
