I woke up at 7 am this morning and my parents drove me to Lancaster Airport to take a short flight back to Pittsburgh. I got to meet and talk to some other students on the flight also participating in a Plus3 program, I got some sleep on the flight, but couldn’t stay deep asleep because I kept getting nausea. I arrived in Pittsburgh around 11 pm. Made my way quickly through Pittsburgh airport to the bag check and had to wait for my checked bag to arrive. My mom ordered me an Lyft ride to Nordenburg Hall, where I am staying for the night.

I dropped my luggage off in my room and then went to grab a small lunch along Oakland Ave. I meet my friend, Amelia who is going to Costa Rica, at Sushi Atarashi and we walked about our week back at home and plans for next year. I then went back to my room and chilled until I had to go to our pre-departure meeting with all the groups. After that we separated into our smaller groups per country and ate dinner. Dr Yun made us do a dance challenge that is popular in South Korea. I was sort of fun. We also played a game where we had to make drafts of what we would take if we forgot everything. My groups won. We went for the realistic picks for each category. The categories were clothes, food, personal hygiene/makeup, technology, and miscellaneous.

I probably won’t sleep tonight. We have to meet downstairs at 2:40 am tomorrow to get the bus to the airport to check in and get to the terminal by 6 for our flight. I am excited but also anxious for tomorrow. I don’t know if I packed the right clothes or if I packed too much. I’m also nervous about getting pickpocketed. I am excited to see Korean culture and get to travel to different locations to see cultural places and businesses. I want to get a lot of souvenirs and eat unique food. I want to try Korean street food.
