When I first arrived back on campus, there was still a few hours before the scheduled events took place so me and a couple others decided to stop at Five Guys to grab something to eat.
As we get closer to departure, I am getting increasingly excited for the trip. The flight to South Korea will be the longest flight I have been on by about 5-6 hours, so there are a little nerves, but I am honestly not too worried about the flight. All I can think about is all of the activities and places we will visit while we are there, and I know it will be a great experience.
Of the activities that we have planned that are not related to smart systems, I would say I am most excited for the cooking class that we get to go to. Truthfully, I rarely cook, but I am hoping to be able to retain what I learn from the class and be able to make a Korean dish at home when I get back.
Also, I am very interested to see Yonsei University and how it might compare to a typical American university. I am not sure if they are currently still in school for the semester, but I would assume that they have similar schedules to colleges in the U.S. I plan on finding out of they have any traditions at their school, as well as if there are any notable alumni that have graduated from Yonsei University.
All in all, I couldn’t be more ready and excited for this trip. I am eager to learn about smart systems as well as Korean culture, and also try a style of food that I have never had before. There is a lot for us to learn in a short two week period, so I hope we make the best of the time we have in South Korea.
